The Ava set is comprised of a short sweater with sculpted sleeves, cinches with and without buttons, the short short skirt, and high socks (matching socks are in every box, not sold separately) I love how versatile the cinch is, connecting the top and bottom to look like a dress, adding length to the short top, or adding a high waist to the skirt.

The skirt includes a partial rigged-mesh “skirt flap” attachment in 4 sizes (demo available). The 4 sizes are based on the Standard Sizing system, but because it’s only partial mesh, it will fit a larger range of shapes. If you haven’t adopted mesh yet, the old style prim attachment is included, too.

Need some electric indigo for your color challenge? Feles made me make some!  She was shocked that of all the items in elymode, none were just the right color, so I whipped up a little something for her.

I’m a little obsessed with watching my AV stand around wearing this dress, it’s so sexy-cute and I find the way it moves is a little mesmerizing even though it’s just that little bit of mesh. (If you haven’t started wearing mesh yet, you can still wear this dress, the sleeves are traditional sculpts, and there is a non-mesh skirt flap in the set)

I love this dress for winter because it covers enough to be a cold-weather item, but shows off skin in the right places, too. Each dress includes a version with and without garters, 2 pair of high socks to match, and as always there are lots of layers.

But for me, the most exciting thing about this set isn’t the versatility or the colors, as much as I love those traits. It’s the introduction of a partial-mesh option as an alternative to the traditional prim “skirt flap”. Check out this comparison:

It’s going to get colder here in New York, but at least the days will get longer. To celebrate the change of the season, the set is free from now through Christmas at elymode.

The sculpted attachments are modifiable, with the skirt also scripted to stretch along the x, y or z axis for easy fitting.

The mesh attachments in the add-on pack (not modifiable) use “standard sizing” as a guide, but because this is only a partial mesh, not a full body mesh, I think (hope!) it’s going to fit a lot of different shapes well. There’s a demo available for the mesh parts, please try it before you buy.
